NYC is sooooooo screwed!

Ever hear the saying "You can always VOTE Socialism in, but you will have to SHOOT your way out." As a former resident of the Big Apple, I am so sad for the city of my youth. We have been here before, but not so consistently bad. I mean in order to get a Guiliani, you have to suffer through a David Dinkins. Rudy Guiliani reversed every metric that Dinkins created, from annual number of people being murdered, corporations fleeing, homeless people on the street, falling real estate values. You name it, Rudy fixed it.

After Rudy you had a series of mayors that just made things for NYC residents progressively worse. Bloomberg, de Blasio and Adams have all set the stage for Momdani. A know nothing muslim democratic socialist on January first will be in charge of the largest city in America.

By the way, the difference between a democratic socialist, socialist and communist is just a matter of degree. See the table below:

Democratic Socialist

A system of government where the people vote for the government to take over more things the people used to do for themselves

Socialist

A system of government where the government controls most of the things the people used to do for themselves, regardless of whether people voted for it.

Communist

A system of government where the government controls everything that people used to do for themselves. People have no choice in the matter.

The interesting thing about governments is that they reserve the ability to use force whenever they deem it necessary to preserve itself. As a government acquires more power the transition to a communist type is almost always inevitable. So, my prediction is that New Yorkers (the city) will eventually need to exercise some 2nd Amendment actions in order to break free. The sad thing is that legal ownership of firearms in NYC is largely non-existent. Hence the prediction they are "soooooo screwed."

Help will have to come from outside the city. Do I forsee Nassau and Suffolk county banding together to free their NYC brethren? Probably not as most of that population fled the city for the suburbs decades ago. What about an internal insurrection from like Staten Island? Unlikely, as the population of Staten Island barely cracks half a million. New Jersey?? Fuggedaboutit!!!

Nope. NYC is on its own, unless .... Momdani does some commie things like ... oh I don't know ... completely block DHS, ICE, and other Federal Law enforcement from upholding and enforcing the law. In that case the Trump Administration could take action against the new mayor. It will be an interesting 2026. In the meantime, I'll be breaking out the popcorn watching while the rest of the city plays "Escape From New York."
